My back window in my bronco isn't working! Please help?

I have a 1985 bronco full sizE. So the back window in my bronco isn't working. The motor is working and nothing is broken but putting the key in the back won't make it work and the switch on the dash doesnt work either. When I hook a wire to the motor plug and run it to the wire that runs the window and then the window plug thing( sorry I forget what's it's called,I blanked) and that will make it work. But that's it. Idk what to do Please help
