Why is Obama for raising the debt ceiling?

Obama does not raise the debt ceiling. Congress, comprised of Democrats and Republicans, vote to raise the debt ceiling or not for the best interest of the United States. Our problems are today's problems and need to be resolved today. If not your children and then their children will have to take care of it. You are responsible for today. Hopefully your children will do a better job of making America strong. That is your responsibility today. What have you done to prepare your children for the future? When you die you obviously won't care what is happening in the world. Just do your job on raising your children and trust them to make the correct decisions.
