Do you caulk around baseboards?

If the baseboards are tight against the wall, it is not necessary; but in my experience they never are, so I caulk. Paint has no "filling" capabilities what so ever (when you paint over a nail hole, the paint does not fill it either). Caulking just looks more finished and polished.
