How do I permanently fix this 2 inch slit in my water hose line for my refrigerator?

I heard a hissing noise one day from my one year old fridge and pull it from the wall to find water forcefully spaying from a slit in the water dispenser line. I don't know how it happened, but now I don't have water or ice cubes from my fridge. I was told it would be about $300 to replace the line, but since I rent and this is not my fridge I can't see paying that much. I thought about super glue a few layers, but I don't know if that would hold permanently and I don't want to come home to a flood. Any handyman suggestions??
