How well does rustoleum Cabinet Transformations really work?

The reviews on line are from people who do handyman type stuff for a living.and they raved about it. I have read the directions and it sounds easy. But I am a novice and have never had a paint brush in my hand in my life. I looked at a cabinet that was on display at the retail store. This cabinet was done by an employee of the store. I was not impressed with the results. I would like reveiws and suggestions from novices like my self who have done this.
